The movie Banel & Adama hits French theaters tomorrow! The feature film was selected at the Cannes Film Festival and won the Student Jury Prize and the Pass Culture Jury Prize at the Nouvelles Vagues festival in Biarritz.
Captured by director of photography Amine Berrada, AFC, the narrative follows the profound and impassioned love shared between Banel and Adama, whose existence is confined to the embrace of a distant village nestled within Senegal’s northern area.
Directed by Ramata-Toulaye Sy, produced by Maud Leclair-Névé, Éric Névé (La Chauve-Souris), and Margaux Juvénal (Take Shelter).
