The film Banel & Adama, shot by cinematographer Amine Berrada, is in competition at the Biarritz International Film Festival (Nouvelles Vagues). Banel and Adama are in love. All they know of the world is their remote village in northern Senegal. But the absolute love that unites them runs up against the conventions of the community. The Ramata-Toulaye Sy‘s first film is produced by Maud Leclair-Névé, Éric Névé (La Chauve-Souris) and Margaux Juvénal (Take Shelter).
