Virginie Saint-Martin is a Belgian director of photography and a member of the SBC (Beligian Society of cinematographers). She knows how to create harmony between the stories and the images she shoots. She recently worked on two films which will be released tomorrow, 22nd of February.


Petites, a movie directed by Julie Lerat-Gersant, is about Camille, a teenage mom, who is placed in a maternity center. Her life will change in ways she couldn't predict.
It is produced by Escazal Films, starring Pili Groyne, Romane Bohringer and Victoire Du Bois and will be released tomorrow.

Another film to hit theaters tomorrow is The Happiest Man in the World, (L'Homme le Plus Heureux du Monde), directed by Teona Strugar Mitevska and co-authored with Elma Tataragic.

Virginie Saint-Martin has worked on three films with the director Teona Strugar Mitevska, God Exists, Her Name Is Petrunya, later The Happiest Man in the World, but the first collaboration is I Am From Titov Veles.

Virginie Saint-Martin also worked on Une Sirène à Paris, based on the first novel by Mathias Malzieu, who also directed the movie. Starring Tchéky Karyo, Rossy de Palma, Marilyn Lima. God Exists, Her Name Is Petrunija, (Dieu Existe, Son Nom Est Petrunya) is directed by Teona Strugar Mitevska. Petrunya breaches the Macedonian tradition by winning a competition against men. The movie won the best film honors from both the Ecumenical jury and the jury for the German Film Guild at the 2019 Berlin International Film Festival, also the 2019 LUX Prize and was selected for the 2019 GoEast Festival.
It is produced by Entre Chien et Loup, Vertigo, Deuxième Ligne Films, Sisters and Brothers Mitevski.

Virginie Saint-Martin works in an effective manner by combining technical expertise with artistic vision. She is able to create images that enhance powerful stories and bring a director's vision to life.
She has worked with several directors, in different genres, from comedies such as Jean-Pierre Améris' A Family for Rent (Une Famille A Louer), historical comedy in Bye Bye Germany, to romantic drama in Tango Libre.
