Dao, a feature film with images skilfully captured by cinematographer Céline Bozon, AFC, is officially in competition at the 76th Berlin International Film Festival, where it will have its world premiere. Directed by Alain Gomis and produced by Les Films du Worso and SRAB Films, the film opens with a definition of Dao as a perpetual, circular movement, then brings together a family formed through casting to celebrate a wedding in Paris while mourning their patriarch in Guinea-Bissau, blending fact and fiction across both worlds. The film stars Katy Correa, D’Johé Kouadio, Samir Guesmi, Mike Etienne, Nicolas Gomis, Fara Baco Gomis, Poundo Gomis, Béa Mendy and Thomas Ngijol.
