For its selection at the Geneva International Film Festival, the movie Sidonie au Japon will be screened Wednesday November 8 at 8:30 pm and Saturday November 11 at 6:30 pm at the Auditorium Fondation Arditi in Geneva (Switzerland). The film, shot by cinematographer Céline Bozon, AFC, is in competition in the Feature International category.
Sidonie Perceval, a famous French writer, mourns the loss of her husband. She travels in Japan with a local publisher and starts to open up to him. But her husband’s ghost is with Sidonie. She needs to forget the past so she can love again.
Directed by Élise Girard and produced by Sébastien Haguenauer from 10:15 Productions. It stars Isabelle Huppert, August Diehl, and Tsuyoshi Ihara.
