The fiction feature film Captives, shot by director of photography David Chizallet, has finally been released in theaters! Directed by Arnaud des Pallières, the movie takes us to Paris in 1894. Who is Fanni, who claims to have let herself be voluntarily confined to the Salpêtrière Hospital? Searching for her mother among the multitude of women convinced of “madness”, Fanni discovers a reality of the asylum quite different from what she had imagined, as well as the unexpected friendship of fellow inmates. Produced by Prelude and France 2 Cinéma, the cast includes Mélanie Thierry, Josiane Balasko, Marina Foïs, Yolande Moreau, Carole Bouquet and Miss Ming.
