Todd & The Toad, with cinematography by Jan Prahl, BVK., has been nominated for Best Short Film at Watch Shorts London 2026. Directed by Julia Mücke and produced by doity produktion GmbH, the story follows Todd, a socially anxious man who panics when Polly, a woman he has been chatting with online, suggests they finally meet in person. Desperate to overcome his fears, he follows advice he finds on the dark web and licks a mysterious toad, plunging into a surreal therapy session with an imaginary psychologist. Through this bizarre experience, Todd is forced to confront his insecurities and discover whether love is worth taking a risk for. Starring Lewis Edridge and Ina Vöhringer.
