We’re thrilled to announce that Promis le Ciel, beautifully lensed by cinematographer Frida Marzouk, has been officially selected for the 78th edition of the Cannes Film Festival in the Un Certain Regard section. Directed by Erige Sehiri and produced by Maneki Films, the film unfolds in Tunis, where Marie, an Ivorian pastor, offers refuge to Naney, a young mother, and Jolie, a spirited student. When they take in Kenza, a 4-year-old shipwreck survivor, their fragile sanctuary blossoms into a tender, makeshift family amid growing social tensions. The cast features Aïssa Maïga, Deborah Christelle Lobe Naney, and Laetitia Ky.
