We’re excited to share that the film Les Aigles de la République, shot by cinematographer Pierre Aïm, AFC, will have a special screening at the 2025 edition of Les Arcs Film Festival, taking place from December 13 to 20. Directed by Tarik Saleh and produced by Memento Production, the film follows George El-Nabawi, once the shining icon of Egyptian cinema, whose dramatic fall from grace leads him to portray President Al-Sissi in a state-commissioned biopic. As George slips deeper into the role, he finds himself navigating a regime where the boundary between performance and truth dissolves. What begins as an acting job becomes a dangerous immersion into a political labyrinth where every gesture carries risk. The film brings together a compelling cast including Fares Fares, Lyna Khoudri, Zineb Triki, Amr Waked, and Cherien Dabis.
