We’re pleased to announce that the feature film Le Mage du Kremlin has been selected for the Special Presentations category at the 50th edition of the Toronto International Film Festival, taking place from today until September 14, 2025. With production designer François-Renaud Labarthe crafting an environment where every element of the set intensifies the political stakes and deepens the story’s impact, the film, directed by Olivier Assayas and produced by Curiosa Films, Forma Pro Films, Gaumont, and Pierce Capital Entertainment, unfolds as a political thriller charting the elusive ascent of Vladimir Putin through the gaze of a young Russian filmmaker pulled into his inner circle. Set against the turbulent backdrop of post-Soviet Russia, it probes the machinery of power, the art of manipulation, and the heavy cost of loyalty, brought to life by a cast led by Paul Dano, Jude Law, Alicia Vikander, Tom Sturridge, and Jeffrey Wright.
