Pablo, with cinematography by Romain Carcanade, will premiere on HBO Max today, September 25, following its presentation at the opening of the 2026 Festival de la Fiction de La Rochelle. The seven-part psychological thriller follows Paolo, whose ordinary life takes an unexpected turn when he reconnects with Téophane, a former schoolmate now running for mayor of their hometown. What begins as admiration and a desire to support his campaign gradually develops into an overwhelming obsession, revealing the tensions, power struggles and hidden ambitions of a small provincial town. Starring Jérôme Niel, Yoann Gasiorowski, Magalie Lépine Blondeau, Marie Oppert, Léo Chalié and Véronique Ruggia Saura.
