Captured through the lens of cinematographer Romain Carcanade, Paolo has been officially selected in competition at the 2026 edition of Series Mania Festival. Directed by Sébastien Marnier and produced by Mintee Studio, the series follows a man whose quiet, unremarkable life is thrown off balance when he reconnects with Téophane, a former schoolmate now running for mayor. What begins as admiration and a desire to support the campaign soon spirals into a consuming obsession, drawing him into a tense small-town landscape simmering with power plays, class anxieties, and carefully maintained façades.
