We are pleased to welcome cinematographer Romain Carcanade to our roster.
Romain Carcanade, a graduate of ENSA (École Nationale Supérieure d’Audiovisuel) in 2003, began his career as an assistant before evolving into a director of photography, building a body of work across documentaries, music videos, series, and feature films, including Tapie, Mercato, La Nuée, and Paolo.
With La Nuée by Just Philippot, his work gained international recognition, from Critics’ Week at the Cannes Film Festival to a César nomination, along with a nod at the Lumières Awards in 2022.
Inspired by photographers Gilles Élie Cohen and Yan Morvan, he develops immersive visual worlds, as seen in Les Rascals by Jimmy Laporal-Trésor and Tapie by Tristan Séguéla, selected for the BAFTA Television Awards 2024.
In 2025, his work continued to stand out, with Qui Brille Au Combat by Joséphine Japy at the Cannes Film Festival and Extra Lucide by Bruno Merle winning Best Series at the La Rochelle Fiction Festival.
His latest project, Paolo directed by Sébastien Marnier, is officially in competition at the 2026 Séries Mania Festival.
