L’Été 36, captured through the lens of cinematographer Virginie Saint-Martin, SBC, is set to make its world premiere as part of the French Competition at Series Mania Festival, running from March 20 to 27. Directed by Frédéric Garson and produced by Quad Drama, the series unfolds in a radiant Nice during the summer of 1936, as the introduction of paid holidays draws working-class families to the Riviera, quietly disrupting the long-standing order of the elite. Against this backdrop of social shift, four women from vastly different worlds find their paths colliding around a murder at the lavish Hotel Riviera, a turning point that will permanently alter their destinies.
