The film Sidonie au Japon, shot by cinematographer Céline Bozon, AFC, is selected at Venice’s Giornate degli Autori festival.
Sidonie Perceval, a renowned French writer, mourns the death of her husband. Invited to Japan, she travels with a local publisher and gradually opens up to him. But the ghost of her husband follows Sidonie: she must let go of the past to allow herself to love again.
Directed by Élise Girard, the movie is produced by Sébastien Haguenauer of 10:15 Productions. Starring Isabelle Huppert, August Diehl and Tsuyoshi Ihara.
