The documentary Bye Bye Tibériade won the Jury Prize at the Marrakech International Film Festival. Mixing archive footage and cinematographer Frida Marzouk‘s contemporary images, the movie shows the journey through four generations of bold Palestinian women who preserve their intimate and collective memory through the strength of their bonds. The film is directed by Lina Soualem, produced by Beall Productions and starring Hiam Abbass.
The film is shortlisted for the Oscar 2024 for Best International Film and was selected at the Giornate Degli Autori Festival in Venice and at the Toronto International Film Festival 2023 in the TIFF Docs category.
