Lina Soualem‘s feature film Bye Bye Tibériade has been selected in Official Competition at the Marrakech International Film Festival.
Shot by cinematographer Frida Marzouk, the contemporary images mixed with archival family and historical footage plunge us into a journey through four generations of bold Palestinian women who preserve their intimate and collective memory through the strength of their bonds.
The movie is produced by Beall Productions and starring Hiam Abbass.
The film is shortlisted for the Oscar 2024 for Best International Film and was selected at the Giornate Degli Autori Festival in Venice and at the Toronto International Film Festival 2023 in the TIFF Docs category.
