Mathieu de Montgrand is a cinematographer who, after studying film at ARFIS in Lyon, began his career lighting several documentaries for Arte, while simultaneously working as a camera assistant on fiction projects. He then worked on the series Demain Nous Appartient, where he was able to broaden his experience by adapting to the specific and demanding format of daily series. He went on to serve as director of photography on a number of feature films, including Transamazonia by Pia Marais, Outrage directed by Mathieu Bozon, and Achoura by Talal Selhami, to name a few. In parallel, he has collaborated on numerous commercials with directors such as Nicolas Stouff, Yoann Curt, Bérangère Boulier, and Jean-François Chaleyat. As a second unit cinematographer, he has worked on series including Franklin, Lupin (Season 2), and The Serpent Queen. He also co-founded the company DMG with his brothers, a brand known for its lighting equipment.
